The third Palis-Balzan International Symposium on Dynamical Systems was held from 15 to 19 June, 2015 in France, at the Institut Henri Poincaré in Paris.

This was the last one in a series of three Palis-Balzan Symposia, one at IMPA (Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada) in Rio De Janeiro and two at the Institut Henri Poincaré, aimed at demonstrating the progress being made by young researchers in their work on Dynamical Systems, and to stimulate further research, in the context of Professor Palis’ Balzan Research Project.

This initiative, under the supervision of Jacob Palis himself and Jean Christophe Yoccoz (Collège de France), with Sylvain Crovisier and Carlos Matheus Santos of CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique) is supported by the second half of Jacob Palis' 2010 Balzan Prize for Mathematics (pure and applied), specifically set aside to support the work of young researchers.
