2023 Balzan Prize: Nominations and Subjects

15 March, the closing date for submitting nominations for the 2023 Balzan Prize, marks the beginning of the phase leading to the announcement of the Prizewinners on 11 September.
The General Prize Committee will evaluate nominations in the following subject areas:
– World Literature
– Evolution of Humankind: Paleoanthropology
– Evolution of Humankind: Ancient DNA and Human Evolution
– High resolution images: from planetary to cosmic objects.
The amount of each of the four 2023 Balzan Prizes will be 750,000 Swiss Francs. Half of the amount must be destined by the winners to research projects.
