On Tuesday 24 October 2017, at the United Nations Book Shop – New York, there will be a book launch for the Oppenheim’s International Law: United Nations. Edited by Rosalyn Higgins, Philippa Webb, Dapo Akande, Sandesh Sivakumaran and James Sloan, and published in two volumes by Oxford University Press. This treatise is the fruit of the research project that was funded with the second half of Rosalyn Higgins’s 2007 Balzan Prize.

An authoritative and comprehensive study of the United Nations legal practice, the New Oppenheim presents entirely new work in the familiar format of previous editions of the fundamental treatise on International Law by L.F.L. Oppenheim (see >> interview with R. Higgins, July 8 2016)

The New Oppenheim will also be launched at the Foreign Office in London (November 9) and at the International Court of Justice in The Hague (November 21).
