TRAPPIST-1 Conference in Liege

The multidisciplinary conference TRAPPIST-1, named after the extrasolar system studied by Michaël Gillon (2017 Balzan Prize for The Sun’s Planetary System and Exoplanets), will take place from 11 to 14 June 2019 at the University of Liege.

In bringing together scientists from various disciplines who are involved or interested in studying TRAPPIST-1, the conference will enable them to share their most recent observational and theoretical results about the system and to discuss its astrobiological importance as well as its future characterization from a scientific and technological point of view.
There will also be room for updates on SPECULOOS (Search for habitable Planets EClipsing ULtracOOl Stars), the research project that Michaël Gillon has used half of his Balzan Prize to support.
