Jacques Aumont, 2019 Balzan Prize for Film Studies, gave the Annual Balzan Lecture 2021 entitled Le détail révélateur at the PalaCinema in Locarno on 29 September 2021.
The conference was organised by the International Balzan Foundation “Prize” and USI (Università della Svizzera italiana) with the collaboration of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences and the Locarno Film Festival, and with the support of CISA (Conservatorio Internazionale Scienze Audiovisive) in Locarno.
