The fifth meeting of IinteR-La+b (International Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory) was held at the Accademia Nazionale di Lincei, Rome, on November 16, 2011. The meeting was devoted to the topic: Innovation.
IinteR-La+b is organized on the basis of the agreements on collaboration drawn up between the Balzan Foundation “Prize”, the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences and the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. The laboratories are intended to bring together researchers (mainly early career but also some senior experts) who have previously cooperated in an academic vein with the Balzan Foundation, the Accademia dei Lincei and the Swiss Academies.
It is hoped that this gathering will promote academic and scientific cooperation which might become a useful model for future functional interdisciplinary exchanges between senior and junior scholars.
