Round Table with Rosalyn Higgins in Milan and Lugano
Rosalyn Higgins, 2007 Balzan Prize for International Law after 1945 and former President of the International Court of Justice at The Hague will be present in Milan on 29 May and in Lugano on 30 May for two round tables on the theme of international Law. The first is organized by the Balzan Foundation with ISPI- Istituto per gli studi di politica internazionale; the second, with l'USI - Università della Svizzera italiana.
 
At both meetings, participants in the round table will include Philippa Webb, Dapo Akande and Sandesh Sivakumaran, the researchers who, under the direction of Rosalyn Higgins, edited Oppenheim’s International Law - United Nations (Oxford University Press, 2017), fruit of the Balzan research project carried out with the second half of Higgins's Prize. The volume will also be discussed. 
At the meeting in Milan, Sergio Romano (Historian and former Ambassador) and Marco Pedrazzi (University of Milan), will also be present. Ilaria Espa (USI, Istituto di diritto - IDUSI) and Thomas Cottier (World Trade Institute - University of Bern) will also participate.
The moderator of the round tables will be Fausto Pocar, President of the International Institute of Humanitarian Law. Enrico Decleva (President of the Balzan Foundation) and Boas Erez (Rector of USI) will introduce the events.
